Coal Bed Methane / Coal to Liquids / Underground Coal Gasification
11-12 June 2012 | Radisson BLU Hotel, Sandton Johannesburg
Coal Bed Methane (CBM or Coal Seam Gas) has become a great asset due it its abundance and the fact that it burns cleaner than natural gas. CBM is now a valuable contributor to the world’s energy portfolio, and is becoming increasingly important.
Africa’s abundant CBM reserves are largely untapped. With the region’s appetite for gas growing annually we are set to see a rise of the CBM sector over the next 10 years that will see market capitalization of independent CBM operators exploding in the region.
Project developers and the South African government are working together to facilitate the best use of this critical resource as well as on finding end markets for the extracted CBM.
Current speaker line-up includes:
Tertius Kruger, Project Manager, Gas Energy, Exxaro
