The inaugural Indonesia Coal Investment Forum , held in Jakarta on 31 October -3 November 2011 was a fantastic success , gathering over 170 senior executives , including global capital and investors and key figures of Indonesia’s Coal mining sector.

The event has the official support of Asosiasi Pertambangan Batubara Indonesia - Indonesian Coal Mining Assosiation (APBI - ICMA).
There are 6 main objectives of the Indonesia Coal Investment Summit:
1. Become the premier venue for foreign mining companies and investors to discover opportunities and legitimate partners in Indonesia.
2. Present investment projects on coal mining, infrastructure and technology open to global investors.
3. Provide a capital raising platform for Tier 1 and Tier 2 mining companies who are looking for partners, and various ways to raise financing for their projects.
4. Attract strategic / institutional investors to develop infrastructure and new technologies on coal.
5. Showcase opportunities for mining industry technology and service providers to collaborate with Indonesian Coal Mining companies
6. Provide a platform for clarity of issues and concerns on the new Indonesian Mining Law.
